Skerritt Electrical td were commissioned to Design, Supply and Install the Electrical Services for the New Birmingham Wholesale Markets at The Hub, Witton, Birmingham. The 19acre site includes the Wholesale Market Facility together with separate Storage, Amenity and Gatehouse Buildings more than 240,000sq ft all served via a new HV Network with 3no. package sub stations totalling 5.25mVA The contract works involved the installation of the following systems:

New HV infrastructure consisting of 2no. 2.5mVA and 1no. 1.25mVA Cast Resin Package Substations

600mtrs of 3500A Power Busbar c/w metered tap-off units to 80no. individual retail units.

LV Mains Distribution and Cabling

Earthing

TVSS Surge Protection

General and Emergency Lighting

Fully Automated Lighting Control Systems

Lighting Busbar installation within the market trader circulation areas.

Small Power

L1 Fire Alarm System

HSSD Air Sampling within the warehouse area.

External Lighting

Lightning Protection
